The Aston Student Villages are a residences project providing 2350 en-suite bedrooms on Aston University’s campus in Birmingham City Centre.
The residences have been built to the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and security. The building has achieved the highest BREEAM efficiency rating, and includes innovative features such as wind turbines and storm water recycling. ASV has also achieved Secured by Design accreditation, giving assurance to our students and their families about living in the centre of a large city.
Phase 1 covered the construction of Blocks A and B which housed the first 1300 bedrooms. These blocks were later named William Murdoch Residences and James Watt Residences.
Also included in phase 1 were an all-weather sports pitch, multi-faith centre, car parking and associated external works.
Blocks C and D were created, adding the other 1050 rooms. Block C also included some retail units. Once completed in Autumn 2013, they were named Harriet Martineau Residences and Mary Sturge Residences.
