The mission of the University Postroom / Goods Inwards is to provide the University staff with a timely and accurate handling, delivery, distribution and processing of mail and goods in an efficient and accountable fashion. In conjunction with Royal Mail, Parcelforce, UK Mail and DHL the University Post Room aims to achieve the high standards set out in the service level agreement.
The Postroom / Goods Inwards are responsible for all deliveries to the Main Building and South/North Wings as well as the rest of the University campus. Collections/deliveries aim to be made twice daily between 09:00 to 10:15 & 14:45 to 16:00.
Outgoing mail is sent out by 2nd class unless otherwise stated.
A service level agreement is currently being drafted which will outline in further detail the services delivered by the post room. Updates to follow in due course.
The post room is located on the lower ground of the Main Building LG51 and is open between 07:30 and 16:30. Staff are able to accept post for delivery during these times however please note that, due to the various collection times of carriers, items brought in after 15:00 may not be posted till the following day.
