Social Media is of growing importance and all members of the University community are encouraged to use it as a tool to interact and communicate, and to assist them with their work and studies. Aston has a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Snapchat already and will keep adding to them as new channels gain in strength.

Social media is a challenge as well as an opportunity. There are pitfalls. This is why we have developed a new social media policy and some user-friendly guidelines to help staff and students to use the new media effectively whilst avoiding the pitfalls:
