What are Residence Tutors?
The Residence Tutors are volunteer postgraduate students who assist in ensuring the provision and delivery of an effective system of pastoral care and welfare suport for students resident in Aston Student Village.

The post is residential and the succesful applicants will be provided with a substantially discounted (around 90% off the market rate) self contained flat in Aston Student Village including all utility bills.
Applicants must have a valid contract of studentship for the duration of their appointment as a Residence Tutor. Termination of the studentship, at any time, will involve automatic termination of the appointment of Residence Tutor, and the occupation of any University accommodation specifically allocated for this purpose would cease.

Senior Residence Tutor
We are seeking to appoint a new Senior Residence Tutor (SRT). The Senior Residence Tutor is the operational lead for the Residence Tutor Team and is responsible for maintaining an effective system of pastoral care and welfare support for students resident on the Aston campus.
This is an unpaid voluntary role. In recognition of the responsibilities and duties of the position the Senior Residence Tutor is provided with a self-contained flat in Aston Student Village with no rent or utility bills.
To be considered for the role you must be a current PhD student at Aston and have successfully submitted your Qualifying Report.
