MBA Mentoring Scheme

To help you reflect on your learning, you will have the opportunity to be partnered with an Aston alumni.

Your mentor will have an essential role during your time at Aston, acting as a sounding board and feeding into your studies. They will provide you with senior career advice and share their experiences to help prepare you for a career at the top.

You’ll be matched with a mentor based on your skill-set, previous work experience and future ambitions. We often place MBAs with mentors working in sectors different from their specialisation to date, broadening your experience and providing a fresh perspective. Our alumni mentors work for companies including Mircosoft, Royal Bank of Scotland, E.ON UK, Chiltern Railways, Deloitte and BP so they can share their experiences of working at international organisations. Your mentor can also open doors to new opportunities after your MBA.

You can meet with your mentor as often as you like and throughout the year you will both be invited to MBA mentoring dinners. These events are a great way to get to know your mentor and build your business network.

Shelly Wang    "My mentor was always willing to share her experience and knowledge to find career-related information and exposure to various professional resources, opportunities, and networks. She has provided both emotional and moral support and encouragement through teaching.”
