Simon Finley

Associate Dean Learning and Teaching

Simon Finley 002Following careers in accountancy and accountancy training Simon joined Aston in 2013 as a Teaching Fellow, specialising in financial accounting and audit. Throughout his teaching career Simon has been heavily involved in the design and delivery of distance and online programmes in a professional context, mainly to full time employed students. His interest in this and the challenges posed by the delivery of such programmes in a rapidly changing educational environment led to him beginning a Masters in Education, which he completed, with distinction, in 2015.

Shortly after Simon was appointed as Associate Dean at Aston Business School with responsibility for overall programme quality. After two years the focus of the role was aligned to Simon's strengths and interests to allow him to focus on leading Aston's part time and executive education during an exciting period of transition in HE.
