Rami joined "Aston Business School as a Lecturer in Economics in September 2019.  Originally from Lebanon, Rami did his undergraduate degree in engineering with a minor in economics and mathematics at the American University of Beirut. He then completed his Ph.D. and MSc in economics and econometrics from the University of Exeter. There, rami have developed extensive experience in carrying out applied and theoretical econometrics techniques under the supervision of the emeritus professor James Davidson. Rami joined as a post-doc researcher the project funded by the institute and faculty of actuaries on "Optimising Future Pension Plans." 

Rami's research interests lie at the intersection of economics, finance, and computer science. He uses econometric methods to study various interesting topics in relation to financial forecasting, labour economics, educational economics, and Pension system. Furthermore, Rami is also an associate fellow at the learning and teaching in higher education (LTHE), and he is also engaged in the Economics Network workshops.
