Research Description:

I am interested in firms’ internationalisation strategies. Part of my thesis is on how firms’ characteristics determine their choice of strategies when expanding to overseas markets using a Chinese dataset. I also have interests in the technology transfer from FDI. The second part of my thesis is to investigate how domestic firms can benefit from technology transfer from FDI using a comprehensive Chinese firm level dataset. I use innovation performance of firms as the direct evidence of technology transfer. Two papers built on my thesis will be submitted to journals in the autumn 2013.
