Jonathan Finn joined Aston Law in January 2016. He started his professional life at Aston having graduated from Aston University with a degree in Business Administration, French, and Society & Government.
Jonathan completed his GDL and LSF at Wolverhampton University. He qualified as a lawyer with Edge and Ellison Solicitors (now Squire Sanders) in Birmingham. He practised for several years as a qualified lawyer in Birmingham with both Edge and Ellison Solicitors and Price Waterhouse.
Jonathan left legal practice to pursue a career in teaching. He completed his PgCE at University of Birmingham and taught GCSE Modern Languages and A Level Law for two years at Great Barr School.
He then left secondary school teaching to concentrate on lecturing law. He lectured both undergraduate and postgraduate law students at the College of Law (now the University of Law) in Birmingham for ten years and then at BPP University in Birmingham for a further four and a half years.
Jonathan is module leader for Constitutional and Administrative Law and Employment Law at Aston. In April 2016, he was nominated by students to receive an Aston Astonishing Academic Award.
