Dr Ahmad Beltagui

Ahmad Beltagui is a Lecturer in Project and Operations Management. He holds degrees in Engineering (MEng Product Design Engineering, University of Strathclyde) and Management (PhD Operations Management, University of Nottingham).

Ahmad joined Aston Business School in 2017. Prior to that he was a Research Fellow at Nottingham University Business School, then Lecturer in Operations Management at University of Wolverhampton.

Ahmad's research concerns a broad range of topics related to design, innovation and service management. In particular, Ahmad is currently investigating the impacts of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing on business and society. 

Ahmad has published in a number of international journals, including Journal of Product Innovation Management, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Journal of Service Management, Creativity & Innovation Management, Games & Culture and Design Management Journal.

Ahmad has worked on a number of research projects including the Design Scoreboard (EPSRC/AHRC) collaboration between Nottingham, Cambridge, Strathclyde, Cranfield, Loughborough and Dundee Universities and StageIT (EU Marie Curie IAPP) collaboration between Nottingham and Reykjavik Universities. Ahmad is interested in supervising students in areas including innovation, service management, online communities and servitization.
Ahmad is currently supervising one PhD on the subject of Social Capital and Open Innovation. He is interested in supervising research in areas including Innovation, Design Management, Service Operations, Servitization, Supply Chain Management, Online Communities and Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing.
Ahmad is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
