Gill Holmes

Gill manages the Advanced Services Group research team, a centre of excellence within Operations and Information Management at Aston Business School. Working with a global network of like-minded professionals, the groups’ research into advanced services and servitization informs education and training and works closely with manufacturers and technology innovators to better understand their challenges and help them to develop services-led strategies.

Gill joined Aston Business School in 2013 to manage our EPSRC funded ‘Transforming the adoption of Product-Service Systems through innovations in applied gaming technology’ a research project working in partnership with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, University of Sheffield.

 

Prior to working in Higher Education, Gill has worked  in a variety of manufacturing companies as a Product Manager. She has also worked in a variety of marketing and project management roles both at Coventry University, including as Project Manager for the HEFCE funded Centre of Excellence for Product and Automotive Design, and at WMG, University of Warwick.

This is a multi-partner project, funded by EPSRC, led by ABS in collaboration with the Serious Games Institute, Coventry University; the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, University of Sheffield and a number of industrial partners. Developing applied game technologies, design principles and protocols the project will transform the adoption of servitization within mainstream manufacturing companies and accelerate the foothold of Gamification in strategic business analysis.
