Karen Caine

Karen is Degree Apprenticeship Lead for Aston Business School, and led on the design and implementation of its Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, and revision of our Executive MBA to incorporate the Senior Leader Masters Degree Apprenticeship.Karen has been a Programme Director for each of the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, Executive MBA, and our Foundation and International Foundation Programmes in Business. She is an enthusiastic late-comer to an academic teaching career, able to bring extensive real world experience to her ABS teaching after working for over 20 years in Capgemini (a major IT and Business consulting company) up to Senior Manager level in a variety of roles such as programmer, team leader, project manager, service delivery manager (to a number of clients), bid manager, and international roles in knowledge management, and marketing management. She is also very interested in learning and teaching, and for a while worked part time for the University’s Centre for Learning Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP).
