This year’s Birmingham CSR Summit will be different; in addition to the main Summit session, delegates will have the opportunity to attend one or, depending on demand, more Pre-Summit Workshops. The Pre-Summit Workshops will be held on various dates in September, followed by the Summit on Friday 6 October at i-Centrum in Birmingham, 9.00 - 14.00.
Each of the Pre-Summit Workshops will be facilitated by experts in their respective fields. As an integral part of the programme, we will also be challenging the tech industry to put forward ideas and solutions to help address issues faced in each field.
We believe that this format will greatly increase the opportunity for delegates to participate and share their views. The fields chosen for our Pre-Summit Workshops will be those pressing community and social issues facing our city (and indeed the nation) today:
1. Homelessness 2. Education
3. Employabilityand skills for ex-offenders
4. Social Enterprise & Entrepreneurship
5. Mental Health
For full details on the pre-summit workshops, please see below.
Pre-Summit Workshop sessions will follow the pattern Issues – Challenges & Needs – Solutions. Facilitators will present short feedback to the Summit session where attendees will also be invited to contribute their views. Representatives from the Tech Sector will also contribute on the theme of Tech for Good. As always, we anticipate a lively audience from the corporates, public sector, charities and academia.
* Places on second Pre-Summit Workshops will be made available to delegates at the discretion of the organisers, depending on pattern of demand. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your 2nd choice. Places are limited to 25 per workshop.
