Aston Business School is hosting two business-focussed events in October.
The free events are ideal for local SMEs and professionals, offering the chance to hear experts speak on a range of topics.
On 14 October, Edward Troup, Tax Assurance Commissioner and second Permanent Secretary at HMRC will discuss the ways in which "tax" spans a full range between the highest politics and the smallest business, offering attendees a chance to gain an exclusive insight into the workings of the tax system and the wider role that business plays in society, as well as the opportunity to network with professionals from the region. On 20 October, Lucy Tarleton from the London Stock Exchange will be speaking on what is involved in an IPO (Initial Public Offering). It will provide insight from advisers experienced in bringing companies to the market to help businesses decide whether an IPO is the right option for them, explain the requirements for a successful IPO and provide case studies of businesses that have successfully completed an IPO.
