Aston University’s Business Partnership Unit will be holding an exhibition and networking event, featuring a poster competition for Aston’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise Networks (KEEN) and Innovate UK Collaborative R&D projects. The Showcase event is to be held on 25th March 2015, 5pm-7pm and is an excellent opportunity to network with some of Aston’s world class academics, the project teams and a variety of businesses.
KTP is a UK- wide programme designed to help businesses to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance by accessing areas of knowledge and skills that reside within UK universities. KTP projects can make a great impact on the businesses involved as 90% of businesses who have taken part felt that the results from a KTP would play a significant part in improving the future performance of their business.
KEEN projects are a regional initiative part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) targeted around helping West Midlands SMEs increase profitability and growth through working with a regional university.
Innovate UK Collaborative R&D projects are established to solve specific technical or societal challenges. These are industry led projects which typically involve a consortium of industrial and academic partners.
Aston has many successful collaborative projects in a variety of subject areas including product design and development, photonics, optometry, operations and information management and many more.
This event is a fantastic opportunity to discover more about the exciting and innovative projects that Aston University gets involved with working in partnership with local and national companies and the variety of opportunities available to help your business grow.
