Every year the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) hosts the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Awards.

This is a national competition that recognises and celebrates students who successfully combine a part-time job alongside their studies and make an exceptional contribution to their employing organisation

The prize

If you’re a winner, you’ll receive a certificate, a cheque for £100, an invitation to attend the SEOTY awards dinner and your part-time work recognised on your Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) degree transcript – it will also make a great addition to your CV.

How to enter

If you have been working part-time alongside your studies, then you are eligible to be nominated – providing you were employed between 1st April 2019 and 1st April 2020.

To be in with a chance of winning, you will need to ask your employer to nominate you for a category through this nomination form.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on Friday 27th March 2020.

Which category could you be entered into?

There are a number of award categories your employer could nominate you for:

  • Above and Beyond
  • Commercial Impact
  • Step up to Leadership
  • Freelancer
  • Best Team

Nominate your employer

There is also an employer category – if your employer has given you opportunities to learn and excel in the workplace, you can recognise their support by nominating them for this award. You will just need to complete this nomination form.
