Where do I start?

It's up to you to choose which sections of Get Ahead will be most useful for you, but here's some tips to get you started:

  • Start at the 'Welcome to Get Ahead' section - you'll get some advice about what's available and how you might decide what areas are priorities for you.
  • If you're not sure which sections to start with, have a look through 'Get to know Aston' and 'Learning at Aston' in the first instance.
  • There is a large amount of information and it is not expected that you'll look through every section in full before the start of your course. Remember you'll have ongoing access throughout the year.
  • Re-visit sections as and when you need to refresh your knowledge, for example re-visiting the 'Write well' section will be helpful when you have your first assignment.
