During this challenging time, we have had to take a number of measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and wider public. However, every measure we take is to ensure that our key services continue to operate and that your studies are not affected.
All buildings on campus are now closed, with the exception of Conference Aston and the University nursery. Access will be restricted to a small number of staff required to maintain essential building services and research facilities.
Library and counselling services are operating via online channels and telephone to minimise risks as the situation evolves.

Can I still access the Library resources?
All online library services and resources will remain accessible through the Library website and Library Smart Search, and the Library team will continue to provide support through our online channels for any queries about access to materials.
For help and advice with your learning or research you can contact library staff via phone, email or online chat. Enquiry services will operate as usual from 9-5pm. Contact us via email@example.com or telephone 0121 204 4525.
You can also make an online appointment with your Information Specialist who are also happy to help with providing learning support materials.
Can I book an appointment with the Learning Development Centre?
Whilst the current situation with COVID-19 continues, the LDC are keen to provide you with support for your learning. This will be offered through online teaching, appointments and resources rather than face-to-face in the centre. We will continue to provide support for academic writing, study skills and mathematics via online teaching, email/telephone/skype tutorials, and online resources.

Can I still receive support from the Student Advice Team?
You can contact the Student Advice Team via email: email@example.com. Please note that that any appointments offered will conducted via phone and Skype only.
Can I still work with my peer mentor/mentee?
We know that working with your peer mentor offers a valuable source of support while you study at Aston. At the moment all peer mentoring activities must be via e-mail and other remote means (i.e. skype), and mentors and mentees are not to meet in person until further notice. The peer mentoring team will provide guidance on managing e-mentoring relationships, and any queries can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
