The Higher Education Achievement Report Introduction from Higher Education Academy on Vimeo.
A HEAR is available to Undergraduate students following their Graduation and is available for those awarded in the 2015/16 academic year and thereafter.
You can access yours through a service called GradIntelligence. We will provide login details to access your HEAR prior to your graduation.
The purpose of HEAR is to provide, at the end of your studies, a complete picture of your achievements at University. You can share this with potential employers and postgraduate tutors, making you stand out from other students with similar degree applications.
Your HEAR contains information on your academic performance at a module level, with results of each module displayed for each year of study.
It also includes non-academic achievements which you may have participated in during your time at University. This would involve participation in societies or any voluntary work that has been completed.
Aston has agreed a list of activities which can be recorded in your HEAR.* All activities included in your HEAR will be verified by the University or Student Union. The HEAR will also contain information on any University or departmental prizes you have been awarded.
You can find out which activities can be included in your HEAR on MAP by using the HEAR Directory on your MAP HEAR Page.
Here's an example of what your HEAR could look like:
You can access your HEAR once you have graduated by activating your account via Gradintelligence. You will receive an email prior to graduation with details on how to do this.
If you notice that there is an error on your HEAR, or if we've missed something, then you can contact the department or team responsible. For example, if your query relates to activity with the Students' Union then they can make the update for you. Contact details for each activity can be found in the HEAR Directory on MAP. Please note, we are only able to make amendments to correct errors.
Queries relating to your academic achievements can be directed to your School. If you have any questions about HEAR in general, fill in your details below or contact email@example.com and we'll get back to you shortly.
