An organisation promoting international friendship and understanding by offering international and EU/EEA  students  the opportunity to be a guest in a British home. The hosts are volunteers who provide a friendly welcome and enjoy meeting people from other countries. All volunteers are checked and approved by HOST.

Weekend Visits

The deadline to apply for a Festive Visit has now passed.

A festive visit is one occurring on the weekend before Christmas; Christmas itself (three nights); the weekend after Christmas; and New Year.

You will be reimbursed the additional charge for a festive visit if you accept an invitation for a weekend outside the festive period instead.

 Free HOST visits

Some students can get funding to go on a HOST visit for free. Check if you can get funding from one of the schemes below:

  • Chevening - for Chevening scholarship students 
  • Commonwealth - for Commonwealth scholarship students
  • Sasakawa - for Japanese Students
  • SOUTER - for students from Afghanistan, Palestine, Syria, Ukraine, Iraq, Israel, Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar and Yemen.
