Police Registration

Do I need to register with the police?

Students from certain countries are required to register with the Police.

Check the Entry Clearance vignette (sticker) in your passport - if it says 'Police Registration', then you must register at the Overseas Visitor Registration Office within 7 days of arriving in Birmingham or collecting your BRP.

If you are unsure, or if you have been given the condition to register with the Police and you think you should not have been, come to speak to an adviser in the Hub.

You must also update the Police within 7-days of any change to your circumstances (for example: change of address, passport or visa)

Failure to register with the police or update your information is a breach of your visa conditions - this is a serious offence and could affect future visa applications for the UK.
