At Aston there are many different people who can provide help and support with your studies. If you're not sure where to go, contact The Hub, who will be happy to help or point you in the right direction.

Learning Development Centre

The Learning Development Centre offers workshops, tutorials and resources to help you with your studies, including support with essay writing, maths, computer programming, revision and exam techniques, presentation skills and more.

Peer Mentoring

The Peer Mentoring scheme matches you with an Aston student mentor and gives you the opportunity to get support and advice from someone who is a few steps ahead in their university career.

The Disability Team

The Disability Team can assist with any questions relating to disability issues, including:

  • liaising with your department to organise individual examination arrangements,
  • arrange an appointment for a diagnostic assessment for dyslexia
  • providing Study Support Workers, BSL interpreters, Dyslexia Support Tutors, etc.

The Library

Visit Library Matters on Blackboard for support and advice to help you get the most from the Library's resources, you can also visit the Library website for more information, podcasts and videos.

You can also visit the Library and speak to a member of staff who will be happy to show you how to use the self service machines, printing, scanning, loading credit on to your cards and the library catalogue.
