Martin is a highly driven Business Development Manager with a specialism in public tender processes & bid preparation, and experience working across a broad range of sectors including design, education, not-for-profit, media, government and manufacturing. With a track record of developing new industry contacts and securing high-value client contracts Martin combines extensive commercial and academic experience. Previously Martin was a Senior Lecturer and Industry Service Manager at Cranfield University and was instrumental in establishing a design centre there. The Centre for Competitive Design (C4D) was a new centre, developed from scratch, that has been named by Business Week as one of the 'World's Best Design Schools'. This position was a dual-role developing commercial proposals and writing tenders as well as supervising post-graduate academic development. Using his entrepreneurial expertise Martin has previously successful built and run his own business, creating products that were patented and manufactured and subsequently exported within Europe and America
