Everyone has problems with, or questions about IT. If you are a new student it can be particularly daunting, so the last thing you want to be worrying about is not being able to e-mail home and tell everyone you are OK, or you may be a returning student who has forgotten your password, or lost your uniCARD.
We’re here to help and you can find us in the IT Helpdesk, located in the Main Building East room G16, where we will do what we can to resolve your problems.
We also offer a reduced support service over the telephone outside of our normal opening hours. To access this service you just call our normal phone number, and someone will be available to talk to you at any time of the day or night. The team may not have access to all the necessary systems out of hours but will always provide advice, and where necessary will pass the details of your request to the University to follow up during the standard office hours.
Please note: If you are unable to access Aston systems because you have been placed on sanctions you should contact the Student Finance Centre.
If you believe your payment is likely to be late or are having difficulty paying, you must contact the Accounts Receivable team immediately. They will be able to discuss your situation and where possible agree a payment plan with you, within University regulations.
If you are facing financial difficulties and require help and advice you can contact The Student Funding and Advice Team.
You might also be eligible to apply for financial assistance if you are in hardship.
