Birmingham has a rich international heritage and we welcome people from all countries to be part of our city. Birmingham is home to 187 different nationalities and celebrates a wide range of major festivals from Vaisakhi to Eid to Chinese New Year. World-class teaching & research

Aston is a long-established university known for its world-class teaching and research. We were recently awarded a gold rating for our teaching quality in the Teaching Excellence Framework (2017), and we are also one of a small group of UK universities to be awarded a five star rating by QS (2018), the world’s largest international higher education network. These stars were awarded in the areas of teaching, employability, innovation, facilities, inclusiveness and internationalisation.
