English Language Requirements

International students who have studied at a UK university for one year or more, with the required academic level, are exempt from our English Language Requirements (e.g. IELTS scores).

Foundation courses require UKVI IELTS. For bachelor's and master's courses, we accept a wider range of English language qualifications for direct entry. This includes TOEFL, PTE Academic, iGCSE, Indian Standard XII, HKDSE, WAEC, CAE, CPE, as well as IELTS Academic.

If students do not yet meet our English Language Requirements, Aston University offers pre-sessional courses that enable students to improve their English to the required level before they begin their course. We also offer free English language tutorials for current students.
