English Language Requirements

International students will have to meet the English Language Requirements (e.g. IELTS scores) for their course. If your students do not yet meet these requirements, Aston University also offers pre-sessional courses that enable students to improve their English to the required level before they begin their course. There are some exemptions to these requirements, such as if the student has studied at a UK university for one year or more with the required academic level. We offer free English language tutorials for current students.

 Visas

All International Students need a visa to study in the UK, unless they are a citizen/national of Switzerland
or a country in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Our team of qualified immigration advisers offer advice on a range of general visa and immigration services
and you can email them or call +44 121 204 4567. You can also check our International Student Advice pages
for information on the documents required, the visa application process and what happens next.
