Entry requirements are listed by the school of study your desired course belongs to.

Aston Business School – 9.0 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat plus IELTS/TOEFL 
IBML: Must have minimum of 70% in appropriate Modern Foreign Language at extended level

School of Engineering and Applied Sciences -  8.8 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat plus IELTS/TOEFL

School of Languages and Social Sciences -  9.0 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat plus IELTS/TOEFL

School of Life and Health Sciences – 
 Psychology – 8.8 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat plus IELTS/TOEFL
Biology/Biomedical Science – 8.8 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat including 9.0 in Biology plus IELTS/TOEFL
Pharmacy – 9.0 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat including 9.0 in Chemistry and Biology or Maths plus IELTS/TOEFL 
Optometry - 9.0 overall in the Diploma de Bacalaureat including 9.0 in Chemistry, Biology and Maths plus IELTS/TOEFL 

Postgraduate - Masters (EXAMPLE)

Only Bachelor degrees taken since 2005 from recognised universities are acceptable with a score of 8.0 our of 10 plus IELTS/TEOFL

If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.

There are a number of conversion courses in the Business School which will accept students from any subject background.  

Postgraduate - MBA 

Only Bachelor degrees taken since 2005 from recognised universities are acceptable with a score of 8.0 our of 10 plus IELTS/TEOFL and a minimum of three years post graduation managerial work experience, as stipulated by the Association of MBA (AMBA) requirements.

Each of Aston's Schools of Study has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences and more.

Languages and Social Sciences Excellence Bursary

Available for all Aston LSS graduates who hold a First Class Aston undergraduate degree, the LSS Excellence Bursary provides an additional: 5% discount on your Masters Tuition Fees which complements the existing 20% Aston Graduate Discount.

In total, the LSS Excellence Bursary and the Aston Graduate Discount amount to 25% off your Masters Tuition Fees reflecting our commitment to support the top undergraduate students in the School of Languages and Social Sciences.
