International Foundation Programme

Students holding the Certificate of General Education (Attestation) from Azerbaijan PLUS IELTS/TOEFL are suitable for entry to the International Foundation Programme.

Undergraduate programmes

Students holding the Certificate of General Education (Attestation) from Azerbaijan PLUS IELTS/TOEFL are suitable for entry to the International Foundation Programme.

Candidates with international qualifications such as A-levels, International Baccalaureate, APs and SATs may be considered for a direct entry onto our bachelor degree programmes, provided a suitable subject mix and grades are obtained.

Postgraduate Masters

Applicants for a Masters degree will generally require a four-year Bachelors degree (bakalavr) or five-year specialist diploma from a recognised institution with a minimum average grade of 4 or 80%, and an IELTS/TOEFL qualification can be considered suitable for entry to a postgraduate taught programme at Aston.

Postgraduate Research

Applicants for a research degree programme will generally require a Masters degree from a recognised institution with a minimum average of 80%, and an IELTS/TOEFL qualification.

All PhD applicants need to contact the research groups direct with their individual research proposal.

Students who have Svidetel'stvo o Srednem Obrazovanii will be required to complete a recognised Foundation Programme.

Some degree programmes, such as engineering, sciences and languages, require specific subject backgrounds.

NIS (Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools) students can be considered for the first-year entry to a Bachelor degree

KIMEP students who complete the first year of study at KIMEP with a minimum B grade average can apply for first-year entry to a Bachelor degree.

Postgraduate Masters

You can apply for a Masters programme with a 4-year undergraduate degree from a recognised Kazakh University. The specific requirements will vary depending on the course you are applying for at Aston and the Kazakh institution which you have graduated from.

You will also need an English language qualification.

If you are applying for finance, engineering, science or social science-based subjects; you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.

Postgraduate MBA

You can apply for the MBA programme with an undergraduate degree, in any subject area, from an overseas institution and a minimum of three years full time post graduation managerial work experience. 

You should have at least an average of 4 out of 5 marks (min GPA of 3.0 from KIMEP) or above from a recognised Kazakh university, PLUS an English Language qualification.

Postgraduate Research

You should have at least an average of 4 out of 5 marks (min GPA 3.0 from KIMEP) or above from a recognised Kazakh university. The specific requirements will vary depending on the course you are applying for at Aston, and the Kazakh university from which you have graduated.

You will also need an English language qualification.
