We provide quality, audiology, hearing therapy, healthcare science, and neurophysiology education and training for students and professionals already in the field.

The Audiology department within Aston University’s College of Health and Life Sciences, places a strong focus on providing students with practical hands-on experience and realistic workplace simulations via the use of our onsite audiology skills labs. Our facilities are one of the largest equipped UK university training resources, stocked with the latest diagnostic and rehabilitative equipment and technology. We also work closely with members of the public by running regular clinic and communication skills sessions.

Our team come from a wide range of NHS, private clinic, and research backgrounds, each with extensive experience in areas from paediatrics to cochlear devices. In addition to teaching, audiology research at Aston focuses on the psychosocial influences of chronic hearing conditions, shared decision in hearing and tinnitus care, and the causes and impact of hearing loss in childhood. This first-hand knowledge is fed directly into our curriculums, providing students with the most up to date knowledge in the field.
