Incoming Exchanges (students from partner institutions)

We welcome students from our partner universities to study as an Exchange or Erasmus+ student within the College of Health and Life Sciences.

  • Study Mobility (FY, TP1 & TP2 study possibilities into one of our UG programmes)
  • Traineeship Mobility (research exchange)
  • Erasmus+ Exchange (study and traineeships).

The application process to complete a student exchange within the College of Health and Life Sciences at Aston differs slightly due to the structure of our UG programmes and the regulating authorities that oversee our professionally accredited programmes.

Currently, we are only able to offer full-year placements to prospective students, unless we have a specific agreement with the sending institution which states otherwise.

Traineeship opportunities are possible within all subject areas listed above as well as:

Note: applications for research exchanges will be based on availability in our clinics/labs as well as a review of qualifications and previous experience.

To be eligible for entry, students will need to submit the following:

  • Up-to-date academic transcript (translated into English and certified)
  • English Language certificate (completed in the last two years) – B2/C1 level
  • Scanned copy of your passport
  • Learning agreement/contract from your institution.

Outgoing exchange opportunities are available to all our current undergraduate and postgraduate students.

    One-month summer placement in Italy

    One-month summer placement in Crete and Australia
    Two-month summer placement in Crete and Australia

Aston University maintains strong relationships with partner institutions abroad, and works with employers to create placements around the world. We also participate in the Turing Programme, helping students with funding to work or study overseas.
