Elizabeth Mills OBE DSc(Hon) was Chief Executive of the medical research charity, Research into Ageing, until 2001 when she led it to merge with Help the Aged (now part of Age UK).  She then set up independent consultancy, Eminence Grise and advises a wide range of non-profit organisations on strategy, fundraising and development.  She chairs the Creative Dementia Arts Network, is Director of Homeshare International, and a trustee of Auditory Verbal UK.  An inveterate volunteer, she was awarded the OBE by HM The Queen in 2002, and received the degree of Honorary Doctor of Science from the University of Brighton in 2013 and from Aston University in 2015.

Elizabeth lives in Oxford with her husband, Allen, and their bulldog.

Professor Peter Lansley   
Peter Lansley is actively involved with research concerned with meeting the needs of older people and an ageing population, especially those issues which have a built environment dimension.

Currently he is a Trustee of the Dunhill Medical Trust, and member of advisory committees for several research programmes and research institutes, some of which he chairs. In 2012 he completed four years as International Member of the Advisory Board of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research - Institute of Aging.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and an Honorary Fellow of the College of Occupational Therapists. He was awarded an  MBE by the Queen in the 2014 New Year's Honours List for his "Services to Research into Ageing and Well-being of Older People".
