Cell & Tissue Biomedical Research

The Cell & Tissue Biomedical Research group (C&TBRG) comprises 20 principal investigators and their teams focused on a range of processes that are fundamental to health and disease: infection, inflammation, fibrosis, metabolism, tissue modeling and regeneration.  The overarching aim of this group is to promote health through specific understanding of and intervention in these processes.  Examples include:

  • Novel antimicrobials and antiseptics
  • Novel inhibitors of fibrosis and inflammation
  • Novel inhibitors of inflammatory cells for
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Drug delivery
  • In vitro tissue engineering
