We offer an extensive range of exciting research opportunities through PhD Programmes in Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences and Neurosciences.See our current range of PhD research projects or contact our researchers  directly with your own relevant research proposal.

We also offer Professional Doctorate Programmes in Optometry & Medicine (DOptom / MD).

  • You should have been awarded the UK equivalent of a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree in a relevant subject, or have an MSc and/or similar award or experience deemed to provide evidence of research potential
  • Non-native speakers of English are normally also required to satisfy minimum English language requirements. Find more information HERE. Our School's requirements are:
  • IELTS:  Minimum Overall Score of: 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each section)

  • TOEFL (Internet-based Only):   Minimum Overall Score of 93  (minimum in Reading: 18, Writing:  23,Listening: 19 and Speaking: 19)

  • PEARSON:   Minimum Overall Score of: 63  (minimum of 57  in each section).
