We offer an extensive range of exciting research opportunities through PhD projects in Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences or Neurosciences, and Professional Doctorate Programmes in Optometry & Medicine (DOptom / MD).

One of our current PhD projects is 'The role of shadows in 3D vision: a computational approach'   
with Dr Andrew Schofield.

  • You should have been awarded the UK equivalent of a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree in a relevant subject, or have an MSc and/or similar award or experience deemed to provide evidence of research potential
  • Non-native speakers of English are normally also required to satisfy minimum English language requirements. Find more information HERE. Our School's requirements are:
  • IELTS:  Minimum Overall Score of: 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each section)

  • TOEFL (Internet-based Only):   Minimum Overall Score of 93  (minimum in Reading: 18, Writing:  23,Listening: 19 and Speaking: 19)

  • PEARSON:   Minimum Overall Score of: 63  (minimum of 57  in each section).

HOME/EU STUDENTS:
Full-Time: £4,260 p.a.  Part-Time: £2,130 p.a.

 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
Full-Time only: £17,000 p.a.

2019/20 Entry

HOME/EU STUDENTS:
Full-TIme: £4,327 p.a.  Part-Time: £2163.50 p.a.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
Full-Time only: £17,500 p.a.
