I joined Aston Audiology in September 2016, having previously worked as a Trainee Clinical Scientist as part of the Scientist Training programme (STP). I worked in the different fields in audiology, with experience ranging from adult diagnostics, aural rehabilitation, paediatrics and vestibular clinics. As part of my previous role, I helped to supervise BSc students, as well as visiting medical and nursing students. I have a keen interest in the student experience and helping promote the work that students and trainees do within this discipline. I am also an active member for audiology professional groups, working on various boards and I am a STEM ambassador also.
I teach across the Foundation Degree, BSc and MSc programmes in Audiology. I am involved in all clinical modules and module lead for HS1lS1 (BSc Healthcare Science Audiology) and NS2AM1 (MSc Clinical Sciences)
I have a keen focus on paediatric audiology. My MSc project looked at 'Children's Perception of Hearing Loss' and I have pursued research at Aston on decision making for children with unilateral hearing losses.
