Configuring Google Chrome Proxy Settings

Google Chrome uses the same proxy settings as set in Internet Explorer.  To set the proxy server from within Google follow the steps below.

 Setting the Proxy

  1. Open the Firefox Menu and select Options

  2. In the Settings window scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Show advanced settings...' link

  3. Scroll down again to the 'Network' section and click the 'Change proxy settings...' button

  4. In the 'Internet Options' window select the Connections tab and then click on the 'LAN settings' button

  5. In the 'Local Area Network (LAN) Settings' window select 'Use automatic configuration script' and then enter the address

  6. Close the 'LAN Settings' and 'Internet Options' windows by clicking the OK buttons

  7. Close the Settings tab

When you have finished, if you no longer want your internet connection to go via Aston’s proxy, you should un-tick the box next to 'Use automatic configuration script'.
