The Midlands Graduate School is an accredited Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). One of 14 such partnerships in the UK, the Midlands Graduate School is a collaboration between the University of Warwick, Aston University, University of Birmingham, University of Leicester, Loughborough University and the University of Nottingham.
The School of Languages and Social Sciences at Aston University is able to offer ESRC Doctoral Studentships in European Area Studies as part of the Midlands Graduate School.
Applications are currently open for October 2019 entry.
Prospective students wishing to apply for funding under the Area Studies pathway should submit an application for the LSS Research Degree Programme and select ‘Research - Area Studies’ from the online application form.
Please note that before applying to the Midlands Graduate School you must have made an application to Aston University. The deadline for applying to Aston University is Monday 7 January 2019 (23:59 GMT).
The deadline for applying to the Midlands Graduate School is then Tuesday 22nd January 2019 (23:59 GMT).
