Dr Qiaochao Zhang

Teaching Associate in Mandarin


Qiaochao joined Aston University in 2008, and she is the module convenor and module leader for Chinese courses. Prior to this, she taught different Chinese courses including Background to China and Business Chinese, in other UK universities and colleges. In addition to her teaching, she has been an External Examiner for Chinese courses since 2012. She was also the Examiner for DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting) in English/Chinese section at UK Institute of Linguists from 2007 to 2012.  

Her research interests are: teaching methods, discourse analysis in business context and cross-culture communication and translation. She has given presentations in conferences and has published papers in conference proceedings and journals.
