Daniel's research focuses on the study of regulation, public policy, British politics and theories of state transformation. He is also interested in the politics of sport and helped set up The Football Collective in 2015, which is a research network designed to promote critical analysis of the game.
- Daniel has contributed to articles for The London School of Economics and Political Science, The Conversation and Descrier. He has also spoken to various BBC radio outlets.
