Aston University hosts Market Research Camp

Aston Business School has organised its own Market Research Camp, to be held 17th May 2012. The event will features presentations from world leading researchers  J. Scott Armstrong, Gilles Laurent and Peter S.H Leeflang.

The day long camp consists of a series of workshops, presentations and discussions by experts in the field. The workshops will touch on a number of topics such as ‘Advertising Issues’, ‘Service and Retail Marketing’ and ‘Being a Marketing Academic’, all of which are current topics in the marketing arena. The event aims to bring world-leading researchers in marketing together to generate exciting and fruitful discussions about research practice and identify promising research directions.

Professor J. Scott Armstrong (Wharton School) is internationally known for his pioneering work on forecasting methods. He is an author and a co-founder of various methods used in forecasting.

Professor Gilles Laurent (HEC Paris) holds a Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests focuses on Consumer Behavior and relies heavily on the statistical analysis of empirical data and applying statistics to Marketing and Sales Promotion.

Professor Peter S.H. Leeflang (Univeristy of Groningen) holds a Ph.D. from Erasmus University. His research interests include sales promotions, competition, loyalty, time series analysis, product bundling, and pharmaceutical marketing as well as other subjects.

The Market Research camp is limited to 50 spaces so groups can work comfortably and share their views and ideas.
