An Aston Business School (ABS) sustained leadership programme for senior level African executives is being launched this June.
The four day course, developed in collaboration with These Young Minds is designed to develop each delegate’s capacity as a senior manager – in particular their use of innovative problem solving approaches within both public and private sector settings.
Participants will also benefit from insights into the current motivations and future behaviour of competitors. An exclusive working visit to a high-profile global organisation in Birmingham will also be included in the programme which runs from Monday, June 10th to Thursday June 13th 2013.
Dr. Michael Smets, Economics and Strategy Group at Aston Business School said; “The programme is designed to enable business leaders to analyse complex situations and make appropriate strategic recommendations. Throughout the four days, the emphasis is on being analytical and critical rather than descriptive.”
Founding Executive Director of These Young Minds, Alim Abubakre, said; “The Strategy for Sustained Competitive Advantage programme combines tuition in management that reflects the contextual nuances of a developing country with a platform for senior executives to shape their organisational vision while challenging their assumptions. Senior executives will broaden their horizons, enhance their ability to provide strategic leadership, improve their capability to anticipate and manage the future and present risks involved and maximise their potential to harness opportunities for their organisation in a sustainable way.”
Paul Butler, Executive Education Director at ABS confirmed; “This programme has been strongly developed to provide participants with a great opportunity to enhance their capacity as strategic leaders.”
These Young Minds is an innovative service-based social enterprise that provides learning platforms for senior executives to grow their organisations by reflecting, renewing their passion to excel and challenging their assumptions.
Aston Business School, Birmingham, UK, is among the top one per cent of business schools worldwide with triple accreditation from EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB.
