Aston Business School promoted the Best of British Digital Marketing as part of a Chartered Institute of Marketing hosted event.
Organised in conjunction with the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA), the event examined real-world case studies and trends in digital work being generated in Britain over the past 12 months.
Speaker Justin Cooke, Chair of BIMA, and UK CEO of POSSIBLE picked out the key insights on what it takes to win in digital media today. He also spoke about the key trends for 2013 and beyond and the best ways to use benchmarks for measuring the success of campaigns, projects and agency relationships.
The event forms part of the CIM University Affiliate Scheme, hoping to inspire students wanting to undertake a career in marketing, through providing them with the tools and resources to help increase their knowledge and expertise of marketing.
It is the CIM’s first university affiliate scheme of its kind in the UK and allows Aston students to gain individual access to the many tools and resources available for increasing their knowledge and expertise of marketing and the marketing profession.
Keith Glanfield, Marketing Group, ABS, said; “Through the CIM Affiliate Scheme students can grow their network of contacts in the industry, gain an understanding of how marketing and sales work in practice. This event and others throughout the year will allow students to start developing their practical work based skills and importantly assess and make informed decisions about which aspect of the profession will suit them best.”
The Chartered Institute of Marketing is the world’s largest community of marketing professionals with some 41,000 members worldwide. It exists to develop the marketing profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners, enabling them to deliver exceptional results for their organisations.
