Jennifer graduated with a BSc in Business and Management in 2008. She is the founder of Skribbies, a company that designed the first children’s shoes that you can draw on wipe off and draw on again.
The three shortlisted entries to have received the most votes in Jennifer’s category will be named as the finalists invited to pitch to Sir Richard Branson and the panel of judges at the Branson family home in Oxfordshire on 13th May.
The idea of Skribbies came when reminiscing about days of childhood. Inspired by the fabric paints of the 90s, Jennifer wanted to develop a product for kids that was more versatile and would allow kids to keep on customising. The nostalgia of fabric paints and customising headbands, t-shirts and shoes a childhood rite of passage. Wanting to leave a mark on the world Jennifer left the corporate world in 2011 to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams.
Jennifer returned to Birmingham this week to promote Skribbies in Birmingham’s Bull Ring shopping centre as part of the PopUpBritain initiative which offers talented retail start-ups access to extraordinary high street spaces.
Voting closes at 12 o’clock midday on 23rd April. Vote for Jennifer
