Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme alumni from the Midlands provided workshops and provocateur sessions, getting groups of people discussing particular business challenges and specific issues. Sarah Crawley (iSE), Daniella Genas (Asprie4u), Julie Summerrell (TR Fleet) and Jim Griffin (Auto Insulations) all hosted workshops which were well attended by alumni from all 4 regions and delegates also heard an entertaining interview with Steve O’Connor, CEO, Stobart Group.
Networking has been cited as the key take-away from the event, especially around the connections that individuals have made that will have direct and positive impacts on their businesses. This is as customers, suppliers, joint ventures, referrals and as mentors and advisors – proving the value of the national and regional alumni network.
