The Awards, in partnership with Aston Business School have been created to recognise and celebrate British manufacturers who are delivering services, in particular the smaller, privately owned businesses that are critically important to the UK but so often overlooked.
There are two award categories; the best ‘new idea’ - recognising manufacturers who are just embarking on integrating their products and services, and the second ‘impact’ category, for those who are further down the line and delivering measurable business achievements.
Prof Tim Baines, Operations & Information Management at ABS, said; “Manufacturing isn’t just about making products and shipping them anymore; leading companies engage customers in long term, mutually-beneficial relationships by thinking outside the box about the services that go around their products. We want to encourage businesses to enter this competition, to help celebrate their achievements and also to help those businesses to take their services to the next level.”

Entries into the competition must be received by Aston’s Servization team by Monday, April 28. A range of prizes are on offer including bespoke business and strategy advice to the value of £4,000 from the judging panel of experts; Advice and assistance on how to access funding to further business growth and a feature slot at the Barclays National Manufacturing Conference
