SME’s invited to business support showcase event

Small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) are invited to a free showcase event to discover more about business support opportunities at Aston University

The Aston Showcase (Monday March 24th), at Aston University’s new Conference Centre, is open to West Midlands based businesses*. It will highlight support grants and projects ran by Aston University and funded in partnership with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The ‘drop-in’ event, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm (drinks and canapés included), will provide opportunity to meet Aston researchers and to discuss a range of free and subsidised schemes including;

  • Two-day workshops designed to develop new business models and resilient revenue streams
  • Free tailored support from a dedicated business team for SME’s keen to improve growth and performance levels
  • Access to Innovation Vouchers up to £1,500 to promote innovation (grant matched £1 for £1 by SME)
  • Advice from researchers across a range of technologies including fibre optics, laser sensing and the design and the usability of smartphone applications, e-commerce and healthcare related software for businesses among other technologies.

The Aston Showcase is being held on Monday March 24th, Aston University Conference Centre, Main Building, Aston University, Aston Street, Birmingham, B4 7ET from 5.30pm to 7.30pm (drinks and canapés included).

*To be eligible businesses must employ less than 250 people and must also have a turnover of less that 50m Euros and/or a balance sheet total of less that 43M Euros.
