8 May 2014

Aston Business School has been selected as one of only 12 UK institutions to be recognised by the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) as offering leadership in academic education on financial markets.

Students who are on a finance related postgraduate degree at Aston are eligible for a range of benefits that include the opportunity to apply for the prestigious CISI diploma after successful completion of their programme.

Aston MSc Investment Analysis student, Pramit Makanji, was one of the eleven elite Masters students who won a CISI Educational Trust Award 2014 that aims to acknowledge high standards of work within the body of Masters students studying CISI accredited courses.

A spokesperson for CISI Educational Trust said:

“We congratulate Pramit and all of our 2014 Scholarship Award winners and wish them every success in their future careers. The standard of this year’s Award Winners has been extremely high, and there were some very thought provoking discussions around the selected topics during the interviews.”

Pramit was awarded £2,500 from the CISI Educational Trust for his outstanding academic performance and was invited to attend the CISI offices to receive the award and take part in an interview with the Educational Trust members.
