Peer Mentoring Awards back at Aston

Peer Mentors 2015

21 May 2015

This year’s Peer Mentoring Celebration Evening was held on Thursday 7th May 2015 to acknowledge, thank and reward the hard work and commitment of students at Aston who have been involved in mentoring their fellow students.

This year Undergraduate mentees and mentors were joined by Postgraduate students who have also been involved in mentoring this academic year.

Professor Helen Higson congratulated all the students, saying to the mentors: "I would like you to go away from here proud of your achievements, and knowing that you will have made a significant and positive contribution to your mentees, and to the University as a whole."

Awards were given to the following mentors, who had offered outstanding support to the students they mentored:

Undergraduate winners:

  • Ellenor Low, ABS - E-mentor of the Year

Aston University's Peer Mentoring scheme brings together students from different year groups to form one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Peer Mentoring is open to all students, with opportunities to become a mentor, mentee or both. Mentoring is a flexible way to maximise your Aston experience and develop skills with mentoring tailored to suit students' individual situations.
