Aston Business School MBA students recently had the unique opportunity to visit Toulouse Business School situated in the heart of Southern France. The visit involved a corporate trip to Airbus Industrie, manufacturers of the A380 aircraft, currently the world's largest commercial aircraft.
The group attended exclusive lectures hosted by Airbus Executives about Market Research and Forecasting, as well as EU Currency and Monetary Policy. The session provided Aston MBA students not only with an insight into the approaching EU Referendum but also a chance to network and discuss career boosting topics such as cross-cultural management.
Students were also given the opportunity to network with Toulouse Business School MBA delegates and attend a conference with guest speaker Anthony Dumas, the Market Research and Forecasts Analyst for Airbus (SAS).
Paul Schoonenberg, Aston MBA careers consultant, who accompanied the students on the visit, said:
"This was a unique opportunity for our MBAs to deepen their knowledge through first-hand experience of a world class European aircraft manufacturer while also furthering their understanding of European business culture and management.
“The seminars provided important insights into the challenges and opportunities facing Airbus as it continues to rise to the growing needs of the global airline industry.”
As Toulouse Business School is situated in the heart of Southern France, Aston MBA students also enjoyed a guided visit around local sites such as Albi Cathedral and Toulouse Lautrec Museum.
