More than 88 per cent of our students praised Aston for ‘overall satisfaction’, which is 3.5 per cent above the sector average.
In the vital ‘teaching on my course’ section of the survey, Aston ranked 13th in the UK with just more than 88 per cent. This is a further endorsement of our teaching quality following the recent TEF Gold result.
The NSS survey is widely recognised as a key measure of student satisfaction and results for Aston’s individual subject areas are also strong.

In addition, Aston was ranked 5th in the UK when asking students how ‘intellectually stimulating’ the course was, 7th for ‘I have been able to contact staff when I need to’, 9th for ‘the course is well organised and running smoothly’, and 10th for ‘the IT resources and facilities have supported my learning well’ and ‘I have had the right opportunities to provide feedback on my course’.

There is a strong story emerging for the quality of our teaching, and it is good to hear that our students agree with the government’s recent decision to award us Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework. As clearing approaches, I hope the NSS and our other recent successes encourage more students than ever to consider choosing to study at Aston.”
